“Excellent post from Grainne Hamilton about Cities Of Learning as a “place-based approach to connecting skills to learning”, with a rabbit warren of links about digital badges, openbadges to encourage and track the learning and recognition. I particularly liked the notion of having both interest-driven (i.e. activation of passion) and destination-driven (i.e. get a job) pathways. ALL the focus groups wanted both — life is not binary, nor should learning be.”
